Patchwork or "pieced work" is a form of needlework that involves sewing together pieces of fabric into a larger design. The larger design is usually based on repeat patterns built up with different fabric shapes (which can be different colors). These shapes are carefully measured and cut, basic geometric shapes making them easy to piece together. Precise joining by the most part with a quarter inch foot makes for a patchwork that lies flat without puckers.

Design-project of this flat was made for a married couple and their small 4 years old son. In future parents planned one more child, so in this project, children’s zone had special attention. Our clients made active participation all phase of the project and offered very brave solutions in some aspects of design. For example, they suggested the natural marble from Hold’Em collection by Petra Antiqua for a guest toilet.

Clients decided to make interior in dark colors: grey, chocolate, dark brown.

In entrance hall was used ceramic granite from Horn collection by Rex Company. At the entrance you have a nice view at living room joined to kitchen and dining zone. The walls of this space were decorated in dark-chocolate wallpapers. Floor was made with American walnut wood.

Home Cinema Theater is made with B&W XT8 black slim and well-build aluminum cabinets and B&W XTC. These speakers are transparent and linear with a nice smooth midrange supplied by the FST Kevlar driver. Surround built-in ceiling speakers are B&W CCM 7.3. For playing films was taken an extruded aluminum ceiling flush mount motorized screen Lectric II, suitable for air handling spaces, and designed for use with all self-supported screen surfaces.

Dining room and kitchen could be divided by sliding doors with frosted glass.

The private zone of the flat contains bedroom, children’s room, recreation room and rock wall for climbing with sport complex. In future it easily could be removed.

The main bedroom decorated in calm brown colors. All space is mobile and multifunctional.

The bathroom near the bedroom is designed in black colors. It decorated with black ceramic granite by Mutina Dechirer collection with lace imprint designed by Patricia Urquiola.

Children’s rooms are stylized as all interior but with brighter colors. The children’s bathroom is designed in multi-colored glass tiles put in tetris stile by Vogue Company Linea Vetra collection.

Interior is designed in patchwork style like a quilt – as different and interesting with its own character as our clients.
